Lecture Series: "The Making and Breaking of Welfare States" by Francesco Boldizzoni

Francesco Boldizzoni, Professor of Economic History at the University of Turin and MPIfG Scholar in Residence for 2013/2014, is delivering a three-part lecture series in January and February 2014 on the complex dynamics of modern welfare states. He discusses the evolution of welfare systems as a product of cultural variables and material forces that are largely responsible for the sense of instability that dominates our societies. more
