Mark Lutter Awarded 2016 EAS Prize for Best Article

The European Academy of Sociology (EAS) has awarded Mark Lutter the 2016 EAS Prize for Best Article for his article "Do Women Suffer from Network Closure? The Moderating Effect of Social Capital on Gender Inequality in a Project-based Labor Market, 1929 to 2010" (American Sociological Review, 80, 329-358). The EAS is an informal fellowship of scholars with expertise in many different areas of sociology, sharing the common concern of promoting rigorous standards in the discipline. The Prize, which includes a symbolic monetary award of 500 euros, will be presented to Mark Lutter at the next EAS Annual Meeting in October 2017. Lutter is the head of the research group "Transnational Diffusion of Innovation" at the MPIfG in Cologne. more
