Journalists in Residence 2017/2018

Axel Bach, an independent television journalist for the channel WDR; Vivien Leue, an independent radio journalist who works mostly for Deutschlandradio; and Wolfgang Landmesser, a journalist in the WDR Program Group on the economy will be staying at the MPIfG as Journalists in Residence in Fall 2017 and Spring 2018. Axel Bach investigates economic theories and how they are entrenched in politics. Vivien Leue examines how monetary policy and financial reporting interact with each other. Wolfgang Landmesser will be taking a closer look at the social pillar in the EU, taking Greece as an example. With its Journalist in Residence Fellowship, the MPIfG offers journalists stays at the institute of up to three months. The aim is to aid dialog between the social sciences and society, and to promote journalism on social and political issues. Journalist in Residence Fellowship
