Using the library

Access

The library provides reference and information services primarily for the institute's scientific staff. Day guests may be granted permission to use the library during the opening hours if they have a serious scientific interest in using our holdings and if there is enough space available in the reading room. Lending services are not available, but a copy machine is located in the library. If you would like to use the library, please contact the library staff. Please check the catalogue first to see if our library has the material you are seeking.

Copier

You will need to buy a photocopying card before using the copier. Cards are available in two values (50 copies / € 2.50 and 100 copies / 5 €) at the information desk.

Databases

Licensing restrictions in some cases may prevent the sharing of databases with non-Max-Planck Institute’s members.
