I don't know if I am asking these questions in the right place but here goes: I would like to know how anyone thinks Mannheim would answer the following questions: What is society? Is society anything more than a collection of individuals? How are different individuals brought together so that they can cooperate and understand one another? Does society have an existance outside of us or is society in us and if it is how did it get there? If society is a system of commonly shared beliefs and agreed upon rules who makes up the rules and are they in the interest of all or the dominant few? I would appreciate all of the input I can get on these questions THANKS Ed
