In this example we will start from three sets of organisations which have been assigned to their optimal location in corresponding circles in such a way, that the overall distances for the total system is minimal.

What happens to the overall structure if we allow the links between the elements of the above solution to exert forces on to the nodes to which they link ?

The answer is illustrated with the next two images, which show the resulting configuration after one, respectively two iterations.
